The aim of this fifth version (EMIDSS-V) is to optimize the code and architecture from the previous versions. The AUTOSAR-like architecture model from EMIDSS-IV was preserved, while the application components were redesigned based on the NXP S32K144W microcontroller. For the memory module, the driver was recoded, and a new reading/writing algorithm was added. Also, the sensor driver interfaces were rewritten to standardize data collection. Additionally, a battery module was incorporated to make EMIDSS-V energy-independent. Finally, a user interface module was added to facilitate the configuration and data retrieval from the module.
