Resumen

Descripción

ITESO (Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente) is a private Jesuit university in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. The Department of Electronics, Systems and Informatics at ITESO is the host of the Research Group on Computer-Aided Engineering of Circuits and Systems (CAECAS), which focuses on state-of-the-art CAD techniques for high-frequency electronics design. In this paper, we describe our general research capabilities in this field, and our educational programs related to RF and microwave circuits. We briefly review selected research contributions in the area of computer-aided modeling, design and optimization of RF and microwave circuits exploiting space mapping (SM), artificial neural networks (ANN), and surrogate-based optimization (SBO). We illustrate one of our methodologies by a design optimization example using a microwave filter.
